New teas report in 2017　　　　　　　　　　　

We finished to buy teas in 2017 now.

The average quality of teas of this year is "good" .

But lower grade Sencha and Kawayanagi prices are chronically expensive.
It is to be common that Japanese green tea to be more populer in the world.
As I wrote the last year, fortunately for us, almost them perchaseing green cloudy color tea in cup.
Our tea is traditional yellow clear color tea, therefore the influence is small, but it is getting decreased traditional tea because it is necessary high skill.
Please note, we do not denay all of cloudy tea, we respect some of them, but almost are not be able to say "good".

The character of this years tea.

Sencha High grade Kept good quality at this grade of teas.
Aroma is very sweet and very mild but rich taste.
It is include moderate bitterness.
Middle grade A little too mild than the last year.
1200~1500JPY are in good condition, but lower are a little too light.
Low grade Not so good condition, especially 500JPY is looks like Kawayanagi, but the taste is still Sencha.
The taste is light and mild, but it is not my favorite balance. I think more bitter and astringent taste is important for this grade of tea.
Gyokuro High grade Very good, especially they have rich aroma.
It has good balance of sweetness and bitterness, but color is a little too green.
The looking of the leaf is not like a needle, but taste is enough good.
This several years, tea is traded with just looking, and good needle shape tea price is too expensive for the price.
We want buy teas with taste, smell first.
Low grade This year's Gyokuro is moderate price for quality in taste.
Unfortunately noot good looking as high grade Gyokuro, but we do not like to pay too much cost just for shape of tea.
Matcha High grade Very good. They have rich aroma and deep taste constantly through the several year. Especially very fine for Koicha.
Middle grade Very good and Miyako-no-shiro is even to use for koicha, and Hatsumukashi is even very mild Usucha.
Low grade Averaged as same as this several years, but a little too light and too sweet as this grade of tea.
Bancha Kawayanagi High grade is very nice, but low are very expensive for the quality because many foreign buyers take this grade. Very large leaves and light.
Genmaicha Constantly in very good condition.
Houjicha
(roasted tea)		 Stem type In very good condition.
Leaf type with large flat leaves, and to be lighter than the last year.

The real Uji tea is still moderate prices as this several years.
But low grade Sencha, and lower grade of Kawayanagi become too expensive for quality because it is getting populer in foreign tea traders..

Medium to highe grade teas are no influences of market.
